Cool Roofs for Hebbronville Schools

    Hebbronville schools, new cool roofs

Everyone has heard of the Red Roof Inn, but what about the white roof schools out in Hebbronville, Texas?

All three Jim Hogg County IC school campuses needed repairs to their flat roofs. Facilities director, Ernesto Perez, determined that putting new roofs on the three schools would cost millions of dollars. Instead, he contacted Jose Aviles at JGA Roofing, and together they were able to find a better, more viable option – Duro-Last Coatings. The entire project cost $1.4 million dollars and was funded with federal monies.

Not only do these new roofs come with a 20-year warranty…they meet “Cool Roof” standards. This means that the new white roofs reflect sunlight, keeping the building cooler and reducing energy costs.
